According to a news story out of Florida by 10 News WTSP, the State wants to take kids of mom who blasts DCF for allowing her kids dangerous psychotropic drugs. (This news story includes both a written story & the below video, entitled DCF tries to muzzle mom who spoke out about drugs.) According to the story, Ms. Karen Shaw has received a notification that the Florida Department of Children and Families was moving to terminate her parental rights.
In reading the story, it appears that Ms. Shaw’s troubles are not an isolated event. According to the story:
While in Tampa, 10 News reporter Mike Deeson said to Wilkins, "We did a story last week about psychotropic drugs that the agency did not like and one of the mothers who complained has now received a letter to terminate her parent rights. Is this an agency of retribution or one of child welfare?"
